From enquiry to finished images in four clear steps

Brief & Booking

We discuss your goals, style references and timeline, then confirm your session date and any prep notes. No booking is confirmed without a direct conversation.

Session Day

You arrive to a prepared studio or location. We guide you through the shoot — relaxed, professional, no guesswork. The studio is set before you walk in.

Selection & Retouch

You choose your favourites from a private proof gallery. Our in-house retouchers bring each selected image to delivery standard — no batch filters.

Delivery

High-resolution files delivered via private online gallery within the agreed timeline. Print-ready TIFF and web-optimised JPEG versions included as standard.

A studio built on light, craft and patience.

Founded in Kyiv in 2017, Lumen Photo was established with a straightforward conviction: good photography is about understanding light, understanding people, and taking enough time with both. We are a small, focused team of photographers and retouchers — not an agency that subcontracts.

Every booking goes through one of our senior photographers. Every retouched file leaves with our name attached to it. That is what keeps our clients coming back and sending their friends.

Q1How far in advance should I book?

For portrait and personal branding sessions, one to two weeks is usually enough. Wedding and large commercial bookings should ideally be made two to six months ahead, particularly for peak season dates (spring and autumn). We recommend contacting us early so we can hold the date.

Q2What is included in a studio session?

All studio sessions include preparation and setup time, the full shoot with one of our senior photographers, a private online proof gallery for your selection, and professional retouching of the agreed number of final images. High-resolution digital files are delivered in both print-ready TIFF and web-optimised JPEG formats.

Q3Do you shoot on location as well as in-studio?

Yes. We shoot both in our Kyiv studio and on location across the city and beyond. Location sessions are quoted individually depending on travel distance and requirements. Our studio is available for hire separately if you have your own creative team.

Q4How long until I receive my final images?

For portrait and personal branding sessions, proof galleries are ready within five working days and final retouched files within ten. Commercial and editorial projects are agreed on a project-specific basis. Wedding galleries are delivered within four weeks of the event.

Q5Can I use the images commercially?

Commercial licensing is included in all commercial and product packages. Portrait and personal sessions come with a broad personal-use licence; if you need full commercial rights (for advertising or resale), please mention this when booking so we can include it in the quote. All usage terms are set out clearly in our booking agreement.

Q6What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled more than 72 hours before the booking date incur no charge. Cancellations within 72 hours are charged a 50% session fee to cover the reserved studio time. We are always happy to reschedule if life intervenes — just let us know as soon as possible.
